Children’s technology company Wippi has launched its Raksha Bandhan campaign, #MyFirstFriend, celebrating the playful and enduring relationship between siblings.
The campaign film captures the familiar banter of childhood, from seeking each other’s attention and making one another laugh to playfully competing to be the favourite. At its heart is the idea that, for many children, a sibling is their first friend and playmate.
Speaking about the campaign, Siddhartha Jain, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Wippi, said, “Siblings have a very special place in childhood. They are often our first friends, our first playmates, and the people we grow up alongside. With #MyFirstFriend, we wanted to capture that relationship in a way that feels simple, playful, and familiar. The little moments between siblings often become some of the memories we carry with us, and Rakhi is a wonderful occasion to celebrate that bond.”
Wippi offers a screen-free conversational experience combining purpose-built hardware, voice AI, character cards, illustrated storybooks and Wippi Radio, allowing children to interact with characters and shape their own stories. The campaign follows the company’s recent $1.2 million seed funding round, which will support product and content expansion.
