Ajay Gupte has stepped down from his role as President – Client Solutions at WPP Media.
Gupte moves on from WPP Media after leadership stints since 2011 across South East Asia and India. He has more than 25 years of experience across media, sales and marketing in markets including India, Africa and Indonesia.
Ajay served as Managing Director of Wavemaker Indonesia from 2011. In 2019, he joined Wavemaker India as COO – South Asia and was elevated to CEO – South Asia in January 2020. During his tenure, Wavemaker expanded its offering beyond traditional media services.
Before this, Ajay was with Maxus Global as Business Head for its Delhi office. Prior to joining Wavemaker, he held roles in sales and marketing at TVS Motor Company.
Gupte has been associated with the use of AI and proprietary tools, including Wavemaker’s global planning platform Architect, to support advertising planning and client solutions.
