Zuno General Insurance has launched ‘Freedom Drive’, a four-day road journey from Worli in Mumbai to the Wagah Border, marking Independence Day by recognising people who help keep everyday journeys safe.
Curated by Fever FM, the initiative is built around the thought ‘Protecting Every Journey. Celebrating Every Protector’ and looks beyond the conventional idea of protection in insurance to recognise those who contribute to safer mobility every day.
The campaign highlights the work of traffic police personnel, ambulance drivers, firefighters, mechanics and roadside assistance teams, whose roles often involve helping others navigate emergencies and everyday challenges on the road.
The journey began on August 12 with a branded convoy accompanied by Fever FM RJs and Zuno’s road safety mascot, Talking Zebra. As the convoy travels towards Wagah, the team is collecting messages of gratitude from people along the route while also creating awareness around road safety.
The convoy will travel through Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Gurugram, Ambala and Amritsar before reaching the Wagah Border on August 15. The journey will culminate with the team witnessing the Retreat Ceremony and meeting BSF personnel, bringing together the stories of everyday protectors encountered along the route with those protecting the country’s borders.
Ketan Mankikar, Head of Marketing & PR, Zuno General Insurance, said, “Freedom is something we experience every day, in the journeys we take, the people we meet and the lives we are able to lead. But this freedom is made possible by people who protect us and are there when we need them the most. The Zuno Freedom Drive is our way of acknowledging these everyday heroes, from those who keep our roads and cities safe to the brave men and women who protect our borders. It is a meaningful extension of what Zuno stands for, protecting every journey and celebrating every protector.”
The initiative builds on Zuno’s focus on safer driving and responsible mobility, including Zuno SmartDrive, its telematics-enabled platform that provides personalised driving insights to encourage safer driving, and Talking Zebra, its road-safety awareness initiative. The Freedom Drive extends this focus from mobility and insurance to the people who contribute to safer journeys.
Rohini Ramnathan, Chief Content Officer, Fever Network, said, “The Freedom Drive gives us an opportunity to take real stories of courage and resilience to audiences in a way that is immediate and relatable. Through our partnership with Zuno, we are capturing these stories through radio and digital content as the convoy makes its way to Wagah. It is a meaningful way to recognise the people who quietly contribute to keeping India moving every day.”
The initiative is being amplified through radio, on-ground and digital content across Zuno and Fever FM platforms. The rollout includes RJ-led updates, daily reels, a ‘Meet the Protectors’ mini-series, protector profiles and a Hero Film documenting the journey.
