InsuranceDekho has elevated Abhishek Bansal to CEO of its Insurance Business. Bansal was previously serving as Chief Revenue Officer, where he led the company’s revenue function and growth initiatives. The company has also appointed Joyeeta Ghosal as Head of Marketing.
Announcing the appointments, Ankit Agrawal, Co-founder and CEO, InsuranceDekho, said, “These appointments reflect where InsuranceDekho is today. Abhishek has lived and breathed this business from the inside, he has built the revenue engine, understood the unit economics, and known where the next wave of growth sits. Elevating him to lead the insurance distribution business was the most organic decision we have made. Joyeeta understands both sides of our business: the human trust our advisors build every day, and the technology that makes them faster and better. She has led marketing in financial services before, and she brings exactly the blend of brand craft and growth discipline this stage of our journey calls for.”
Bansal’s elevation follows his tenure as Chief Revenue Officer, during which he was responsible for aligning strategy and execution across InsuranceDekho’s business segments. He brings more than 13 years of experience spanning consulting, entrepreneurship and operations leadership.
He began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company and later held senior roles at OYO, where he led revenue management across India and Southeast Asia. He also co-founded Rartogo, a B2B platform focused on sourcing and exports of auto component aftermarket products. Bansal holds a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
Ghosal joins InsuranceDekho with marketing experience across financial services and consumer technology companies, including Pay10, GoKwik and Home Credit. She has worked across brand building and demand generation in businesses where trust, distribution and performance marketing play a key role.
At InsuranceDekho, Ghosal will be responsible for strengthening the brand, while driving customer acquisition and retention marketing as well as PR. She holds an MBA from MICA, Ahmedabad.
