Cathay Pacific appoints Piyuli Bhattacharjee as Regional Head - Marketing, Arjun Bhatia as Regional Head - Corporate Sales, and Vinod Viswanathan as Regional Head - Trade Sales, India and Sri Lanka
Cathay Pacific has announced leadership changes across its South Asia, Middle East, and Africa (SAMEA) region, appointing three individuals to key roles in marketing, corporate sales, and trade sales. The appointments are aimed at supporting the airline’s operations and commercial performance in the region.
Ms. Piyuli Bhattacharjee has been appointed Regional Head of Marketing for SAMEA. In this role, she will oversee brand marketing across passenger travel, cargo, and lifestyle business. Bhattacharjee previously served as Regional Marketing Manager at Cathay, where she led marketing strategies, loyalty engagement, and digital campaigns. Prior to joining Cathay, she held roles at Croma – Infiniti Retail (Tata Group), Tata Consultancy Services, and Ogilvy & Mather. She is based in Mumbai.
Mr. Arjun Bhatia has been named Regional Head of Corporate Sales for SAMEA. He will be responsible for corporate sales initiatives, key account management, and revenue performance across markets. Bhatia was previously Regional Head of Digital Sales for the region. He has held positions at Zomato and The Indian Hotels Company Limited (Taj Hotels). He is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and IHM Mumbai.
Mr. Vinod Viswanathan has been appointed Regional Head of Trade Sales for India and Sri Lanka. He was formerly Regional Head of Corporate Sales for the same region. In his new position, he will focus on trade partnerships and commercial initiatives. His past roles include positions at Air Mauritius, Flight Centre Travel Group, British Airways, Oman Air, and Travelport.
All three appointees are based at Cathay’s regional headquarters in Mumbai.
