GREW Solar partners with Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans for upcoming T20 cricket season

GREW Solar has signed on as the official solar energy partner for Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans ahead of the upcoming men’s T20 cricket season, marking an expansion of its sports marketing strategy.

The move builds on the company’s earlier association with the women’s T20 league, where it partnered with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. With the latest deals, GREW Solar is looking to scale its presence through men’s cricket, which offers significantly larger audiences and wider broadcast reach.

As part of the agreement, the brand will feature on Gujarat Titans’ helmets and caps, alongside in-stadium advertising and broadcast visibility. Its association with Mumbai Indians is expected to provide broader national reach, given the franchise’s large and geographically diverse fan base.

The partnerships will also be supported by digital campaigns, influencer collaborations and fan engagement initiatives, including contests and promotional activations.

Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director, GREW Solar, said the partnerships are aimed at taking the company’s clean energy message to a wider audience through cricket’s scale. He added that the association with Gujarat Titans aligns with Gujarat’s position as a key solar hub, while Mumbai Indians offers national reach across diverse audiences.

The Gujarat Titans tie-up carries added significance for GREW Solar, which is backed by the Chiripal Group and headquartered in Ahmedabad. Both the company and the franchise were founded in 2022, and the team plays its home matches at the Narendra Modi Stadium, located in one of India’s key renewable energy hubs.

Colonel Arvinder Singh, COO, Gujarat Titans, said the collaboration brings together two fast-growing entities with a focus on innovation and sustainability, adding that the association is expected to engage fans while promoting broader environmental awareness.

Founded as a solar PV manufacturer, GREW Solar operates a 6.5 GW module facility in Rajasthan and is expanding capacity across modules and cells as it looks to strengthen its position in India’s growing renewable energy market.
