Interio by Godrej has released a social experiment film as part of its ‘Moments That Matter’ campaign, focusing on how physical spaces influence emotions, behaviour and human interaction.
The film builds on a study conducted among 1,800 homeowners and 800 officegoers across eight cities, examining how living and working environments shape everyday experiences. The findings suggest that homes are increasingly seen as spaces of emotional comfort, with bedrooms emerging as key areas associated with rest and security. More than half of respondents said their most valued moments at home are linked to going to sleep in their own bed.
The experiment places participants in a specially designed room equipped with sensors that respond to movement and interaction, adjusting elements such as lighting and colour in real time to reflect shifts in mood and engagement. The film aims to demonstrate how design can actively influence emotional states rather than simply serve as a backdrop.
“Through our 'Moments That Matter' campaign, we are reimagining furniture as an enabler of meaningful everyday experiences in modern Indian homes. This film builds on our recent rebranding, which reflects a shift towards more design-led, consumer-centric thinking. By bringing real human interactions to the forefront, we highlight how thoughtfully designed spaces can shape how people feel, connect, and live. It reflects our evolution into a brand that helps create homes where meaningful moments unfold every day,” said Reshu Saraf, Head of Integrated Marketing & Communications, Interio by Godrej.
Adding an expert perspective, Dr. Alisha Lalljee, a practising psychologist and psychotherapist, said the film highlights the role of environments in influencing psychological wellbeing.
“It was great to collaborate with Interio by Godrej on such a thoughtful film. The relationship between space and psychological wellbeing is both profound and often overlooked. Through this initiative, they bring an innovative and scientific lens to everyday living, showing how design can positively influence emotional regulation and human connection. It’s encouraging to see spaces being reimagined not just as physical settings, but as active contributors to mental and emotional wellbeing,” she said.
The campaign will be distributed across digital platforms, as the brand continues to position design as a key factor in shaping daily experiences within homes and workplaces.
