KFC India has appointed Suhayl Limbada as Chief Marketing Officer for India and partner countries, including Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Limbada joins from KFC Thailand, where he served as Market Lead and Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing a network of over 1,250 restaurants. During his tenure, the brand reported growth in sales and market share, along with recognition for creative work, including a Cannes Lions Gold in Film.
With over two decades of experience, Limbada has worked across multiple markets within Yum! Brands, as well as with companies such as Kraft Foods and Mondelez International. He has also previously worked in South Africa, where he was involved in repositioning the KFC brand and driving growth.
Suhayl Limbada said, “India represents an incredibly exciting chapter in my journey as a marketer. It is one of the most exciting & complex markets in the world and that is exactly what makes it so energizing. The scale is undeniable, but it is the diversity of people, culture and tastes that makes building a brand here both challenging and deeply rewarding. My time in Thailand pushed me beyond marketing into truly understanding the business end-to-end, learning to lead through people, trust and belief, especially when the answers aren’t obvious. That’s the mindset I’m bringing into India. The focus is simple, build a brand that people genuinely feel connected to, because that’s what ultimately drives demand and growth.”
He succeeds Aparna Bhawal, who led marketing for the brand in India over the past three years, focusing on strengthening capabilities across media, data and digital.
KFC stated that Limbada will oversee marketing strategy and brand growth across the region as the company continues to expand its presence in these markets.
