Meta has launched Vibes, a new feature within the Meta AI app and on meta.ai, designed to allow users to create, remix, and share short-form AI-generated videos.
The feature centres around a new feed in the Meta AI app, showcasing AI-generated videos from various creators and communities. Users can either start from scratch, use existing photos and videos from their device or Meta’s AI glasses, or remix videos from the feed. Videos can be edited by adding visuals, layering music, and adjusting styles.
“Today is the first step toward a new way to discover, create, and share AI videos,” Meta said in its official announcement. “We’re rolling out Vibes, a new feed of AI videos at the centre of the Meta AI app. You can bring your ideas to life with new AI visual creation tools or remix an existing video by adding music or changing the style to make it your own.”
Users can post directly to the Vibes feed, share via direct messages, or cross-post to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels. Videos seen on Instagram can be tapped to open and remix in the Meta AI app.
According to Meta, the Vibes feed will become more personalised over time. The company is also working with visual artists and creators to develop additional tools and features that will be rolled out in future updates.
“We’re working on even more powerful creation tools and models with a number of talented visual artists and creators, and will be rolling these out more widely in the future,” the announcement said.
Beyond Vibes, the Meta AI app remains the hub for managing Meta’s AI glasses and exploring creative tools using personal media. The Meta AI assistant continues to offer responses, suggestions, and support.
These updates are part of Meta’s ongoing development of AI video capabilities. The company says it plans to continue gathering feedback to improve the tools over time.
