Mihir Sangani has exited WPP after a decade with the global advertising and media network. Sangani announced his departure in a LinkedIn post, marking the end of what he described as an “unforgettable” chapter in his career.
Sangani’s last day at WPP was July 21. He was serving as Business Director at EssenceMediacom India, a role he took up in May 2025. Prior to this, he spent around eight years at MediaCom, where he last held the position of Group Head.
He began his career at WPP as a Media Trainee with MediaCom, going on to work across media planning and strategy for brands during his decade-long stint.
Reflecting on his journey, Sangani wrote in a LinkedIn post that his time at WPP was marked by campaigns, pitches, presentations, deadlines, celebrations and lessons that shaped both his career and personal growth. He also expressed gratitude towards the leaders, colleagues, clients and teams he worked with throughout his tenure.
Sangani noted that the media landscape had evolved significantly during his 10 years with the network, adding that the challenges, successes and setbacks along the way had shaped his approach to the industry. He concluded his post by describing his exit as the close of one chapter and the beginning of a new one.
