Motorola has released two films created entirely using Artificial Intelligence, extending its use of AI beyond smartphone features into advertising and content production.
The films promote the Motorola Edge 70 Max and Moto G Max, with separate creative ideas built around the positioning of each device.
The Edge 70 max film, titled “Max Every Move”, uses AI-generated visuals and sloths as a metaphor for obstacles that slow consumers down. The narrative is designed to communicate the smartphone's performance capabilities, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, a Quad HD+ display with up to 7,000 nits brightness, a 7,100mAh battery and magnetic wireless charging. It also features Motorola Qira and its ability to provide immediate responses to user queries.
The Moto G Max film uses the idea “Got It, Flaunt It”, focusing on the device's design and camera capabilities. The film features the Bollywood song “Baar Baar Dekho” and uses AI-generated visuals to create a more entertainment-led narrative aimed at younger consumers.
Commenting on the initiative, Ipshita Chowdhury, Head of Marketing, Motorola India, said, “At Motorola, innovation has always been about looking beyond what is possible today and imagining what comes next. With our 100% AI-created films, we are bringing that philosophy into the world of creativity. These films represent our curiosity to experiment with emerging technologies and explore how AI can unlock entirely new ways of bringing ideas to life. We fundamentally believe great marketing is a balanced recipe of art and science, the left and the right brain. AI in communication and the creative space enables marketers to do just that, unlocking new possibilities for creativity, communication and storytelling. As we continue to push the boundaries of AI, we want to demonstrate that innovation is not just about the technology we put into our products, but also how we use technology to create, communicate and inspire.”
The film highlights the smartphone's Luxury Satin-inspired finish, Pantone-curated colours and 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 camera system, along with its AI-powered photography features.
The two films form part of Motorola's broader experimentation with AI across the creative process, exploring how the technology can be used to develop visual narratives and product-led advertising.
