This ad campaign underlines how redBus’ affordability, simple booking experience, and extensive network make it the preferred travel partner across the state.”
The Majhi bus, manjhe redBus campaign continues to unfold, with more ad films in the pipeline that will spotlight new characters and stories celebrating Maharashtra’s unique travel spirit.
Film 1: "Wide Connectivity" – redBus Jaate Sagli Kade
“Wide Connectivity” captures the humour and spontaneity of everyday India. The film opens near a busy roadside as a bus halts momentarily. Pooja, a 24–25-year-old college girl, spots her neighbour Shinde Kaku seated inside the bus and calls out to her with fresh gossip that Patil’s daughter has eloped to Nanded with Joshi. Shinde Kaku, caught between shock and amusement, exclaims, “Aiyaa! Palun geli, redBus karun nahi geli?” — “Oh no! She ran away… but didn’t go by redBus?”
The film closes with the voiceover: “Mumbai te Malvan ki Latur te Pune. Ikde, tikde, RedBus pohochavte sagli kade, Majhi bus, manjhe redBus.” (From Mumbai to Malvan, from Latur to Pune, redBus goes everywhere. My bus, redBus.) With its blend of regional flavour, quick wit, and relatability, the film highlights redBus’s wide connectivity across Maharashtra, making it an inseparable part of everyday travel and conversation.
Film 2: "Discounts" – Swasta ani Masta
Set against the backdrop of a lively roadside naka, “Affordable Journeys” brings alive the humour and warmth of everyday friendships. Three young men sit gloomily over cups of chai when a bus halts nearby and their friend Prathamesh steps off. Spotting their long faces, he asks what happened. One of them replies, “Father’s gone.” Another, mistaking the tone, jokes, “Again? Tell the old man his age’s showing — just because redBus tickets are cheap doesn’t mean he should keep roaming!” The misunderstanding lands with perfect comic timing, blending emotion, wit and everyday humour seamlessly. The film closes with the voiceover, “Bhannat discount saathi book kara redBus var. Swasta ani masta, phira Maharashtraachya chohikade. Majhi bus, redBus.” (“For big discounts book on redBus. Affordable and awesome travel all across Maharashtra. Our bus, redBus.”) With warmth and relatability, the film celebrates redBus as Maharashtra’s most pocket-friendly way to travel anywhere.
