The Walt Disney Company is reportedly preparing for another round of job cuts, with up to 1,000 roles expected to be eliminated in the coming weeks.
Media reports state that a significant portion of these reductions is likely to come from the company’s marketing division. The report also noted that the groundwork for these layoffs was already underway before Josh D’Amaro stepped into his new role as chief executive officer in March.
The cuts are projected to impact fewer than 1% of Disney’s global workforce. As of the end of fiscal year 2025, the company had a headcount of roughly 231,000 employees.
