Skechers has launched an official pickleball performance jersey in association with the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), as part of its efforts to expand its performance sports portfolio in India.
The initiative comes at a time when pickleball has been gaining visibility in the country, with increased participation and the emergence of organised tournaments and professional players. The launch positions the sport within the broader competitive sports landscape rather than as a recreational or lifestyle activity.
The newly introduced Skechers Pickleball Jersey is designed for match play and is made using lightweight performance fabric intended to support mobility and moisture management during gameplay. According to the company, the design focuses on functional elements suited to the physical demands of the sport.
The campaign accompanying the launch features Skechers brand ambassadors Sonu Kumar Vishwakarma and Vrushali Thakare, along with pickleball athletes Anuja Maheshwari and Ritam Chawla. The athletes’ participation reflects the brand’s focus on engaging with players within the emerging competitive pickleball ecosystem in India.
Speaking on the launch, Rahul Vira, CEO, Skechers South Asia Pvt. Ltd., said, "Pickleball in India is at an exciting inflection point, and at Skechers, we see its immense potential as a competitive, high-performance sport. Our association with AIPA and the launch of our dedicated jersey reflect our commitment to supporting athletes with products engineered for serious play. We are focused on contributing meaningfully to the sport’s long-term growth and helping elevate competitive standards across the country."
In addition to the jersey, Skechers also offers pickleball footwear designed for grip, cushioning and stability on the court, expanding its product range for players participating in the sport.
With the launch, Skechers continues to strengthen its presence in India’s performance sports segment while engaging with the country’s growing pickleball community.
