Nearly two decades after the original The Devil Wears Prada reshaped on-screen portrayals of fashion and ambition, its sequel is set to release globally on 1 May 2026, reigniting interest in its defining aesthetic of power dressing and polished glamour.
Hair, a central motif in the franchise, continues to symbolise authority and self-assurance, positioning it as an integral marker of identity rather than a finishing touch. Capitalising on this cultural currency, TRESemmé has been named the signature haircare partner for The Devil Wears Prada 2, aligning its salon-technology credentials with the film’s enduring narrative of confidence and control.
The collaboration extends beyond visual styling, focusing instead on a broader ethos of empowerment. TRESemmé aims to reinforce hair as an expression of confidence and individuality, encouraging women to project composure and command across professional and personal spaces.
Marking the India leg of the campaign, the brand has brought together actor Zeenat Aman and digital creator Apoorva Mukhija in a film that reinterprets the franchise through a local lens. The narrative juxtaposes timeless authority with contemporary self-expression, reflecting the positioning of its Hydra Matrix range.
Sairam Subramanian, Vice President Hair Care, Hindustan Unilever, said, “In The Devil Wears Prada universe, hair isn't just an accessory, it's a statement. When hair is crafted & curated by experts, it elevates your confidence. At TRESemmé, we focus on salon-grade precision and performance for that unstoppable woman who commands attention and owns every room she walks in."
A spokesperson from Disney said, “As we bring The Devil Wears Prada 2 to audiences worldwide, it’s exciting to collaborate with TRESemmé, a brand that shares our commitment to excellence and iconic style. Together, we’re celebrating the confidence that comes from showing up with intention.”
The partnership underscores TRESemmé’s evolving positioning as a premium, salon-led brand, while tapping into one of fashion’s most recognisable cultural properties. With this campaign, the brand seeks to bridge generational influences and redefine modern hair confidence in the Indian market.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on 1 May 2026.
