Vadilal has launched a print campaign in partnership with Aakash Educational Services to celebrate NEET 2026 toppers on World Ice Cream Day, using the results announcement as a moment to recognise academic achievement.
The campaign features a full-page newspaper advertisement showcasing India's top NEET rankers holding Vadilal ice creams alongside the message, "Congratulations, Students! You worked hard for this moment. So, this World Ice Cream Day, we're not letting your newspaper photo go without a smile."
Built around Vadilal's brand philosophy, 'Zara Muskuraiye, Vadilal Khaiye,' the creative aims to associate the brand with moments of celebration while placing students and their achievements at the centre of the narrative.
While the achievement of students who topped the re-examinations deserves recognition, it is worth asking whether Vadilal and Aakash Educational Services, as responsible brands, should have released such an advertisement at a time when the country is witnessing one of its biggest student protests in a decade over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and other irregularities in the education system.
