On the occasion of World Book Day today, Zepto has partnered with non-profit Make A Difference (MAD) to launch ‘Gift A Book’, a one-day initiative that enables users in Bengaluru to donate their pre-loved children’s books directly from their doorstep.
Customers placing orders on the platform today, can hand over children’s books to delivery partners at the time of delivery. The collected books will be routed through Zepto’s seller network to Make A Difference, which will distribute them across shelter homes and low-income schools.
The initiative aims to improve access to non-academic reading material for children, particularly in underserved communities where such resources remain limited.

The drive brings together users, delivery partners and an NGO network in a collective effort to make reading more accessible by using last-mile logistics.
