Sources have told IMPACT that Manjari Upadhye has moved on from her role as Chief Marketing Officer of Mahindra & Mahindra’s automotive business, ending a stint during which she led marketing for the automaker’s Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) portfolio.
Upadhye had joined the company after a distinguished career spanning over 25 years across marketing, sales, e-commerce and business leadership. At the company, she was responsible for overseeing brand marketing, digital marketing, public relations and Mahindra Adventure initiatives, reporting to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division.
IMPACT reached out to both, the brand and Upadhye but didn't receive a comment at the time of filing the story.
Before joining Mahindra & Mahindra, Upadhye served as CEO of Welspun Living’s domestic business, where she managed the home textiles, flooring and advanced textiles portfolio. She was recognised with the Chairman’s Award for building a branded value-added business in a largely unorganised category.
Her professional journey also includes leadership roles at Colgate, Ocean Spray, PepsiCo and Mondelez, where she worked across categories including food and beverages, oral care, personal care, apparel and home improvement. Over the years, she has built expertise in brand strategy, business transformation and P&L management.
Mahindra is yet to announce a successor for the role. Upadhye’s next professional move has also not been disclosed. She is currently on her notice period.
