Google Play has appointed Aditya Swamy as Managing Director. Prior to this promotion, Swamy served as Regional Director – Google Play for India, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand for over a year.
Swamy joined Google Play in April 2017 as Industry Head, Large Customer Sales, and has since held several roles within the company.
He has experience across technology, e-commerce, media and entertainment, and consumer packaged goods. Before joining Google Play, he was Senior Director at Flipkart.
Earlier in his career, Swamy spent nearly a decade with Viacom18 Media Private Limited, leading multiple portfolios, and worked with The Coca-Cola Company for eight years.
