Bata Launches Back-to-School Footwear Range starting at ₹599

Bata India has launched its ‘Strong Steps, Small Price’ campaign, introducing a new back-to-school footwear range starting at ₹599, as the academic season kicks off across the country.

Timed to coincide with school reopenings, the range is designed to address evolving needs of both children and parents—combining comfort, ease of use and affordability for everyday wear. The move taps into a key seasonal demand window, where parents prioritise durable yet value-led purchases.

The collection includes lightweight sneaker-style school shoes in Velcro and lace variants, along with easy-slide designs that allow children to wear footwear without using their hands—supporting greater independence. Bata has also introduced waterproof clog variants for the monsoon season.

Commenting on the launch, Badri Beriwal, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, Bata India, said, “The back-to-school season is closely tied to everyday family routines. Parents are looking for footwear that supports their children through long, active days, while children prefer styles that feel light and easy. Through this campaign, we are bringing together comfort, ease and value in a way that fits naturally into their lives. A comfortable child is a happy child and that remains central to how we design our school footwear.”

The campaign will roll out across key markets including Delhi NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana and Maharashtra, aligned to regional school reopening cycles and supported by digital activations.

The collection is available across Bata retail stores, the Bata app and leading e-commerce platforms. As part of the campaign, consumers purchasing any Bata school shoe will receive 30% off on school bags, along with complimentary themed diaries.

With this launch, Bata is strengthening its back-to-school portfolio by focusing on functional design elements such as lightweight builds and easy-slide features—aimed at simplifying daily routines for parents while enabling children to wear their shoes independently.
