Birla Opus Paints, housed under Aditya Birla Group’s Grasim Industries, marks the beginning of Diwali fervour with the launch of its new digital film. Rooted in the brand’s ‘Duniya Ko Rang Do’ philosophy, the film captures how beyond the rituals and lights, Diwali’s brightest glow comes from the people we call ‘family’.
Diwali is not only the festival of lights, but also the season to celebrate togetherness and traditions. The film beautifully captures the festive spirit, the anticipation of preparations along with the happiness of being together with your loved ones.
The film opens with a retired couple preparing their home for Diwali, trying to recall their son’s favourite colour to paint the house before his visit. Their joy takes a pause when their son cancels his visit home. The film gradually unfolds revealing what Diwali ultimately comes to mean for them. The father does not let disappointment take over and decides to get the house painted anyway because he realises that festivities begin with your loved ones by your side, in his case, his wife. Together, they decorate their house with a fresh coat of paints in a shade liked by their son and light up their Diwali, proving that presence of loved ones itself is a reason to celebrate.

Inderpreet Singh, Head of Marketing, Birla Opus Paints, said, “What makes festivals memorable are the emotions behind the preparations, the anticipation, the small surprises and the joy of being together. Our Diwali film celebrates the essence of togetherness, the warmth, the fun, and the love that makes this festival truly special. Through this film we also highlight the role of colours in making homes, and lives, more beautiful when shared with our loved ones.”
Sachin Kamble, Chief Creative Officer, Leo - South Asia, said, “Diwali has always been more than lights and rituals, it’s a celebration of the bonds that bring meaning to our lives. With this film, we wanted to remind people that the festival isn’t about the scale of the celebration but the depth of the relationships at its heart. In the Birla Opus world, colour doesn’t just beautify walls, it brings warmth, togetherness and a reminder that wherever there is family, there is Diwali.”
