Cleartrip, a Flipkart company, has introduced Book@0, a hotel booking feature that allows travellers to reserve hotel rooms without making an upfront payment or entering card details.
Available across more than 7 lakh domestic and international hotels, the feature is designed to help travellers lock in hotel rooms and prices while keeping their travel plans flexible.
With Book@0, users can select a hotel and room, confirm the booking at ₹0, and complete the payment within a defined window before their stay. The feature does not require card details at the time of booking and does not charge a cancellation fee.
Commenting on the launch, Akhil Malik, Head, Hotels, Cleartrip, said, “A growing number of Indian travellers, especially Gen Z booking on their phones, want to plan without the pressure of an immediate financial commitment. Book@0 is built for that mindset. It removes the last real barrier between a traveller and the hotel they want, and we expect it to meaningfully expand access to online hotel booking for people who have stayed on the sidelines.”
According to the company, the feature is aimed at leisure travellers booking well in advance as well as international travellers who may face financial losses due to last-minute changes or cancellations.
Cleartrip said Book@0 is part of its broader efforts to make hotel bookings more flexible, with additional product launches planned over the next two to three months to simplify booking and stay experiences.
