Paying tribute to YAAP Founder and Chairman Atul Hegde, Nikhil Kumar, media & tech leader and former CGMO of Affle, remembered him as a leader who combined innovation with empathy and left a lasting impact on the industry.
Kumar said Hegde stood apart for the grace with which he led, his deep sense of empathy and his willingness to mentor those around him. While recognising Hegde’s contribution to advancing India’s marketing and media ecosystem, Kumar noted that his greatest legacy would be the people he inspired.
“He was a relentless innovator who spent decades helping our industry evolve, yet he will be remembered most for the warmth and mentorship he extended to everyone who crossed paths with him,” Kumar said.
Calling Hegde’s passing a profound loss for the media fraternity, Kumar added that the impact of his leadership would continue to be felt for years to come.
He concluded by extending his condolences to Hegde’s family and loved ones, saying, “He will be deeply missed.”
