Himalaya BabyCare, one of India’s most trusted baby care brands, loved by babies, has launched a heartfelt DVC this Mother’s Day, celebrating the always evolving journey of motherhood. The campaign highlights this journey through a series of a baby’s ‘firsts’ and the warm emotions they bring forward.
At its core is the thought that while these milestones celebrate a baby’s growth, these moments are just as important and emotional for the mother. In today’s evolving journey of parenthood, many such moments pass quietly, often going unacknowledged. With this DVC, Himalaya BabyCare centers the narrative on the mother’s experience – celebrating the instinctive bond that deepens with every ‘first’.
Inspired by the timeless lullaby 'Chanda Hai Tu', the film unfolds as a reflective narrative that traces the emotional journey of motherhood through the baby’s first milestones, evoking a sense of warmth, nostalgia, and cultural familiarity. The film opens with a flashback, showing a mother getting her little girl ready for the very first day of school. It’s a big milestone, and one that feels just as emotional for the mom as it does for the child.
Watching her daughter stand there in the uniform triggers a wave of memories. One by one, the past years unfold, reminding the mother of all those quiet, everyday moments they shared. From the first gentle massages and splashy bath times to playing on the floor and simple moments of care—these weren’t just routines, but the little moments that wove their bond together.
As the film returns to the present day, the little girl stops to give her mom one, tight hug before heading out for school. It is a beautiful reminder that while every 'first' marks a step forward in a child’s life, it also marks a new chapter for a mother – one of pride, change, and growing with her child. The DVC captures the essence of the 'Mumma waali feeling' an instinctive, deeply personal emotion that evolves and strengthens with every milestone in a child’s life.
Commenting on the campaign, Chakravarthi N. V., Director – BabyCare, Himalaya Wellness Company, said, “At Himalaya BabyCare, we believe motherhood is shaped by a series of ‘firsts’—fleeting yet deeply meaningful moments that leave a lasting emotional imprint. Through this campaign, we celebrate these everyday experiences that define a mother’s journey. The ‘Mumma waali feeling’, grows with every touch, every milestone, and every memory created along the way. Beyond being just a provider of gentle, safe, and trusted products, we are committed to offering guidance, resources, and support to mothers, helping them navigate this journey with confidence and peace of mind.”
By blending nostalgia, music, and emotionally resonant storytelling, Himalaya BabyCare continues to build a deeper cultural connection with modern parents.
Vishwanath Shetty, D2C Head at Pocket Aces said, "At FilterCopy, we believe the strongest brand stories are those that feel real and authentic. Being part of the same ecosystem as Saregama gives us a unique advantage, allowing us to blend storytelling with iconic music that already carries deep cultural and emotional resonance. Through the warmth and familiarity of 'Chanda Hain Tu', we wanted to capture the small yet unforgettable moments of motherhood, making Himalaya BabyCare's message feel personal and relatable. To deepen our connection with audiences on our youth Tamil channel FilterCopy Enga Area, we also created a Tamil rendition of the track with some of the best in the industry, including Karthik Raja, Padhmalatha, and Ku. Karthik, bringing a fresh yet nostalgic emotional dimension to the narrative."
Building on this narrative, the Mother’s Day campaign moves beyond functional communication to celebrate the emotional realities of motherhood—where every small moment matters, and every ‘first’ becomes a memory of a lifetime.
In addition to the Baby Care segment, Himalaya Neem Face Wash also collaborated with Spotify for a feel-good campaign ‘Unskipped: Us on Loop’.
The collab celebrates the evolving mother-daughter bond through a shared cultural constant—music. Himalaya Wellness has always understood the mother-daughter relationship, especially during the teenage years, when daughters are finding their footing and mothers are figuring out how to give them space while staying close. Their Neem Face Wash has long rooted its brand narrative in the mother daughter relationship, one that is authentic, constantly evolving, and at times marked by unspoken tensions. This campaign builds on that foundation by tapping into a shared cultural experience that teenage daughters and their millennial mothers have in common: the energy, emotion, and joy of a live music concert. By bringing together Himalaya's trusted legacy in care with Spotify's unmatched cultural reach in music, the campaign creates something that goes beyond a brand activation, it creates a genuine moment of connection.
Ms. Ragini Hariharan, Marketing Director – Beauty & Personal Care, Himalaya Wellness, said,“At Himalaya, we’ve always believed that care goes beyond skincare, it lives in everyday moments and relationships. Himalaya Neem Face Wash has been part of the mother-daughter bond for years, showing up exactly when that relationship needs it most; during the teenage years when everything is changing and their connection is being quietly renegotiated .With ‘Unskipped: Us on Loop’, we wanted to celebrate the evolving dynamic between mothers and daughters in a way that feels real, relatable, and culturally relevant. By partnering with Spotify, we’re bringing together the emotional power of music and the trust of Himalaya to create an experience that is not only memorable but deeply meaningful. This campaign reflects how brands today can build authentic connections by becoming part of culture, not just conversations.”
Arjun Kolady - Head of Sales - Spotify India, said ‘At a time when consumer attention is more fragmented than ever, music remains one of the few environments where people press play with intention — and stay engaged for the long haul. That's what makes Spotify a uniquely powerful space for brands: our listeners aren't passive, they're showing up by choice. 'Unskipped: Us on Loop' builds on that strength, using shared listening to create a natural, meaningful way for mothers and daughters to spend time together — and reflects how Spotify helps brands like Himalaya become part of moments audiences actively choose’
