IPG’s Lodestar UM has been awarded the integrated global media mandate for Amazon Music. The development follows Omnicom’s completion of its acquisition of IPG.
The account is estimated to be worth over Rs 100 crore.
Amazon’s broader advertising mandate in India continues to be handled by WPP, which has long managed the brand. Only the Amazon Music mandate is moving to Lodestar UM.
In September 2024, Amazon reassigned its global media account to WPP and Omnicom, replacing IPG. Under that arrangement, OMG oversees the Americas, while WPP manages the EMEA and APAC regions. The shift followed a six-month review process.
