Jindal Steel has appointed Aabha Bakaya as an Additional Independent Director, strengthening its Board with a seasoned business journalist and entrepreneur. The appointment was disclosed through a regulatory filing.
Bakaya is the Founder and CEO of Ladies Who Lead, a platform focused on women's leadership and entrepreneurship. Over a career spanning more than two decades, she has been a prominent business news anchor with NDTV Profit, ET NOW and Bloomberg TV India.
She also served as Consultant Anchor for the India Today Group's Business Today and was Senior Editor and Anchor with the network for over two years.
Bakaya's appointment brings to Jindal Steel a blend of experience across business journalism, leadership and corporate communication, alongside her work in building leadership-focused initiatives through Ladies Who Lead.
