OPPO India has announced the launch of The Snap Circle, a nationwide programme aimed at nurturing photography skills among college students across India. Rooted in the brand’s philosophy, 'Make Your Moment', the initiative brings together technology, mentorship, and experiential learning to support young visual storytellers.
Designed as a hands-on learning platform, The Snap Circle enables students to work on real-world photography assignments, receive guidance from industry experts, and gain practical exposure to OPPO’s flagship Find X Series, which features the brand’s most advanced imaging capabilities.
Conceived as a long-term initiative, the programme seeks to build a creator ecosystem by strengthening industry–academia engagement. Beyond technical training, participants are encouraged to develop confidence, creative independence, and a distinct visual perspective, aligning with OPPO India’s focus on enabling self-expression through technology.
Commenting on the launch, Goldee Patnaik, Head of Communications, OPPO India, said, “Our brand philosophy, 'Make Your Moment', reflects our belief that the youth should be able to express their authentic perspective with technology. With The Snap Circle, we are crafting a space where students can experiment fearlessly and discover their own visual voice through real-world photography with the Find X Series. By bringing together advanced imaging technology, mentorship, and a supportive community, we aim to inspire the new-age storytellers to transform everyday moments into meaningful narratives.”
At each participating college, students will go through a registration and shortlisting process, following which 10 participants will be selected based on creativity, technical understanding, and demonstrated passion for photography. Shortlisted students will receive Find X Series smartphones for a 10-day themed photography challenge.
Final submissions will be reviewed by OPPO’s camera team using evaluation criteria such as composition, lighting, colour balance, and subject focus. The top two performers will receive Find X smartphones, while the remaining participants will be awarded certificates of participation.
All shortlisted students will also become members of the Snap Circle Community, a year-long engagement that includes workshops, curated photo walks, product experiences, and continued expert mentorship.
The programme began at JECRC University in Jaipur. In 2026, The Snap Circle will expand to leading universities across nine cities—Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Bhubaneswar.
By offering students access to the Find X Series’ imaging system in real-world scenarios, OPPO India positions The Snap Circle as more than a campus initiative, creating a structured pathway for aspiring photographers to explore contemporary mobile photography.
