Red Bull has launched a consumer activation centred around Indian cricketer KL Rahul, who is also a Red Bull athlete. The campaign features a web-based game titled ‘KLear It With KL’, where participants compete on a leaderboard for a chance to meet the cricketer.
The participant topping the leaderboard at the end of the activation will get an opportunity to meet Rahul, while the top 100 participants will receive signed merchandise. The game will remain live until 23 May and is open to Indian residents above the age of 18.
Built around Rahul’s calm and calculated approach to the sport, the campaign explores themes of performing under pressure, mental sharpness and instinctive decision-making. Through a series of conversations, insights and practical tips, ‘KLear It With KL’ aims to encourage younger audiences to approach competition with clarity, confidence and composure.
The game requires participants to collect selected objects within 60 seconds. Players must clear sets of three identical items—including cricket-related objects such as bats, gloves and cricket balls—from a tray positioned at the bottom of the screen. If the tray reaches its six-item capacity without a matching set of three, the game ends and participants can restart.
Participants can play the game multiple times, with scores accumulating across attempts. The player with the highest cumulative score secures the top position on the leaderboard. The game is designed around speed, precision and accuracy, reflecting attributes associated with Rahul’s on-field persona.
Rahul is currently leading Delhi Capitals in the ongoing Indian Premier League season. He is also set to represent India as vice-captain of the Test team and as one of the wicketkeeping options in the ODI series against Afghanistan. The Test match is scheduled to be played in Chandigarh from June 6–10, while the ODI matches will take place in Dharamshala on 13 June, Lucknow on 17 June and Chennai on 20 June. In the current IPL season, Rahul has scored more than 500 runs, including one century and four half-centuries, and is set to play his final league-stage match against Kolkata Knight Riders on 24 May.
