On the occasion of International Women’s Day, The Muthoot Group has released a film that highlights the role women play in keeping households and workplaces running. The film acknowledges the work women do across home and professional spaces, much of which often goes unrecognised.
Built around a role-reversal narrative, the film follows a man who finds himself handling the daily responsibilities typically managed by the woman in his life. From waking up early and preparing meals to getting children ready for school, ironing clothes, managing household tasks, and heading to work, he struggles to keep pace with the steady flow of duties. The film's chosen POV is not only engaging, but also thought-provoking.
The day appears to end with a family dinner. But just as he begins to relax, he is reminded of unfinished tasks—school project work, pending office assignments and other responsibilities. Overwhelmed, he wakes up to realise it was only a nightmare.
His relief quickly turns to reflection: What overwhelmed him in a day is his wife’s daily routine—performed consistently and often taken for granted.

Commenting on the initiative, Alexander George Muthoot, Joint Managing Director of The Muthoot Group, said, “Through this simple yet powerful story, the film acknowledges the invisible effort, emotional strength, and dedication that women bring to their everyday roles. It reminds us to pause and appreciate contributions that often go unnoticed but are vital to keeping families, communities, and workplaces thriving. Within our own organisation, we are proud to have more than 11,500 women, forming almost 22 per cent of our total workforce. It is even more heartening that women hold leadership roles across our organisation, with over 1,175 serving as branch heads while many others contribute in key leadership positions across various functions. The Muthoot Group also takes humble pride in being recognised as a Great Place to Work for five years in a row alongside being India’s No.1 Most Trusted Financial Services Brand for 10 years in a row, as per TRA’s Brand Trust Report. Furthermore, Muthoot Finance has also been recognised with the prestigious FICCI Women Empowerment Award in 2024 and 2025.”
Adding further perspective, Abhinav Iyer, Senior General Manager – Marketing & Strategy, The Muthoot Group, said, “Alongside creating impactful brand and product communications, we are increasingly using storytelling through films to celebrate people who quietly shape our society. Last Diwali, we paid tribute to our soldiers through a film that received tremendous appreciation from audiences across the country. This time, we bring the focus closer home and shine a light on the women in our lives—whose strength, selflessness and silent sacrifices hold families together every day. With this film, we hope to inspire a moment of reflection and gratitude for the remarkable role women play in our lives.”
In a sector, where financial services can often appear transactional, The Muthoot Group says it aims to connect with audiences through stories rooted in everyday experiences. By highlighting the resilience and contributions of women, the group seeks to build a deeper emotional connection with audiences beyond its products and services.
Through this initiative, The Muthoot Group reiterates its focus on recognising the contributions of women—not only on International Women’s Day but throughout the year.
