Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has unveiled its festive-season content slate, bringing together new and returning entertainment properties, regional programming and a packed live sports calendar across television and digital platforms.
The slate reflects SPNI's strategy of building a content-first, platform-agnostic and multilingual entertainment business, with Sony LIV's new positioning, 'It All LIVs Here', bringing the network's entertainment and sports offerings together digitally.
Leading the lineup is Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18, premiering on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV with the campaign thought 'Sochna Padega'. The Hindi entertainment slate also includes cricket icon Rohit Sharma's entertainment debut, Ajay Devgn-hosted Crime Patrol 2026, and Indian Game Show, hosted by Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa.
Sony LIV will also present Scam 2010, produced by Sony LIV, Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta. The series chronicles the rise and fall of a major financial empire.
The network is also expanding its regional offering. Madhuri Dixit will host the Marathi edition Kon Honar Crorepati, while Tamil programming will include MasterChef Tamil, featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Tamil Idol, with music maestro A.R. Rahman leading the search for Tamil Nadu's next singing talent.
Sports will form another major pillar of the slate through Sony Sports Network's Festival of Sports, running from August 15 to December 1. The calendar includes the India tour of Sri Lanka, Women's T20 Asia Cup, Asian Games and India's all-format tour of New Zealand.
Commenting on the slate, Gaurav Banerjee, Managing Director & CEO, Sony Pictures Networks India, said, “India’s entertainment landscape is increasingly being shaped by audiences who move freely across languages, genres and screens. Our focus is therefore on building compelling intellectual properties and stories that can connect with audiences wherever and however they choose to watch. This festive slate brings that approach to life. It combines some of our most enduring franchises with new formats, marquee talent, a growing regional portfolio and an exceptional calendar of live sport. From Kaun Banega Crorepati and our new Hindi entertainment properties to our offerings in Marathi and Tamil, we are building a wider and more diverse content portfolio, with our television network and Sony LIV working together to take it to audiences across India.”
Together, the slate underlines SPNI's focus on multilingual content, premium IPs and complementary television and digital platforms, as it seeks to engage audiences across screens.
