Swiggy, the online food and grocery delivery platform, is expanding beyond its core offerings with the growth of Crew, its concierge-style travel and lifestyle service. Initially launched as a pilot, Crew has now rolled out across Bengaluru, Mumbai, and the NCR region, as part of Swiggy’s efforts to diversify into high-engagement lifestyle services.
Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Food Delivery at Swiggy, shared an update about Crew’s progress on LinkedIn, noting that users are increasingly turning to the platform to simplify both everyday errands and high-end experiences. Kapoor described how Crew is being used to manage a wide range of needs — from securing restaurant reservations and planning travel itineraries to organising gifts, celebrations, and even administrative tasks like Aadhaar updates and airport transfers.

In his post, Kapoor also highlighted how the service responds to a broader trend among India’s urban consumers, who are seeking more integrated and time-efficient lifestyle solutions. As convenience and personalised experiences become central to consumer expectations, concierge-style services like Crew are emerging as an extension of the digital economy’s next phase — where technology supports experience rather than just delivery.
Echoing this vision, Phani Kishan Addepalli, Co-founder, Swiggy, also wrote on LinkedIn that Crew represents Swiggy’s “boldest step yet” toward becoming an “operating system for modern living.” He noted that the platform is already redefining convenience for early adopters, blending AI-driven responsiveness with a human touch to deliver premium, on-demand assistance.

As Crew continues its expansion, Swiggy appears to be positioning itself as more than a food delivery company — evolving into a full-scale lifestyle platform designed for India’s growing segment of time-conscious urban professionals.
