Gardening company Ugaoo has announced actor Jackie Shroff as its brand ambassador. The collaboration comes as Ugaoo looks to widen its reach from primarily urban audiences to include Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across India.
Over the past decade, Ugaoo has worked to promote gardening and connect more people with nature in their daily lives. Through online content, community initiatives, and plant care resources, the company has built a following of gardening enthusiasts who view houseplants as more than decoration, seeing them as companions and symbols of growth.
As Ugaoo broadens its presence in smaller cities and towns, the company has chosen actor Jackie Shroff to help bridge the connection with new audiences. Shroff, known for his relaxed persona and long-time interest in plants, has often brought greenery into public events and maintains his own organic farm, reflecting a personal commitment to nature.
Jackie Shroff’s long-standing presence in Indian cinema and his popularity across different generations make him a strong fit for Ugaoo. His cross-generational appeal and cultural relevance align with the brand’s efforts to connect with a wide audience, from younger plant enthusiasts to older gardening lovers.
“Jackie Shroff is not just a face, he’s a feeling. For years, we’ve worked to make plants a part of India’s emotional and cultural fabric. And Jackie embodies everything we believe in: he's playful, rooted, and passionately green. There is nobody we would have worked with in this capacity — it was Jackie or no one. As we prepare to expand across Bharat, his presence brings instant relatability, timeless credibility, and a refreshing sense of fun to our story,” said Siddhant Bhalinge, Founder & CEO of Ugaoo.
Jackie’s collaboration with Ugaoo begins with a campaign film created by Thought Over Design and produced by Cathect Studios. Set in a living room, the story follows a plant owner saddened by her wilted Alocasia. Jackie steps in, reassures her, and orders a new plant from Ugaoo, promising it will thrive. The film closes with his line, ‘Ugaoo, Bhidu, Ugaoo,’ combining light-heartedness with plant care.

Speaking of the association, Jackie Shroff said, “Plants aren't just decor; they're companions, therapy, and a connection to life. Putting my hands in the soil brings me peace. Associating with Ugaoo is a no-brainer; they're spreading a green movement across India. Together, we're nurturing a generation that values nature. I'm glad to be a part of this mission, inspiring others to live rooted and connected.”
Ugaoo claims it will continue to promote gardening as a mindful wellness practice, offering a grounding break from fast-paced urban life through simple acts like watering plants and nurturing growth. According to the brand, with over a million customers and a growing presence across e-commerce, q-commerce, and offline outlets in Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru, it is preparing for its next phase of growth. The company says Jackie Shroff’s association will drive upcoming initiatives — from new product formats to regional storytelling — to strengthen its cultural and emotional connection with consumers, as plants increasingly become part of how people live, love, and heal.
