airpay money has rolled out a nationwide campaign titled ‘Pehle Check, Phir Invest’, aimed at encouraging individuals to evaluate their financial preparedness before beginning their investment journey.
The campaign is centred around the company’s Financial Health Check (FHC) feature, available through its app and web platform. The tool assesses various aspects of a user’s financial profile, including income, savings, spending habits, insurance coverage, liabilities and investments, and generates a Financial Health Score.
The campaign is being promoted across Meta, YouTube, Google Ads and influencer-led channels, supported by two campaign films available in seven regional languages—Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
According to the company, the Financial Health Score offers users an overview of their insurance readiness, investment preparedness, emergency fund adequacy, net worth and financial planning status. Based on the assessment, users receive personalised recommendations and an action plan tailored to their financial situation.
The campaign comes at a time when retail participation in investments continues to rise, even as financial awareness and preparedness remain uneven, particularly across smaller cities and towns.
Commenting on the initiative, Kumar Binit, CEO, airpay money said, “Every smart decision starts with an assessment. Investing should be no different. ‘Pehle Check, Phir Invest’ is designed to help individuals understand their financial wellness before they begin their wealth-building journey.”
Shreyas Deshmukh, AVP Marketing (B2C), airpay added, “Marketing campaigns don’t just drive action; they shape behaviour. ‘Pehle Check, Phir Invest’ is built around a simple consumer insight: people are increasingly seeking confidence, not just convenience, in their financial decisions. By bringing financial readiness into the mainstream conversation, we hope to encourage a more mindful and informed approach towards financial wellness.”
Speaking about the campaign, Unmisha Bhatt, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Tonic Worldwide said, “Having worked extensively with leading BFSI brands, we’ve witnessed how the investment landscape continues to evolve. While Indians are increasingly eager to invest, many still rely on market noise and herd behaviour. Since every individual’s goals, responsibilities, and financial realities are unique, airpay money's ‘Pehle Check, Phir Invest’ campaign introduces a critical missing step in the financial journey: self-awareness. Through culturally relevant storytelling, the campaign encourages people to pause, assess their financial wellness, and make investment decisions with greater confidence and clarity.”
The company said the initiative reflects its broader focus on helping consumers build financial awareness and preparedness before selecting investment products and wealth-building solutions.
