Cashfree Payments has launched its first IPL advertising campaign, with the film set to air during the final eight matches of IPL 2026. The campaign explores the emotional moments enabled by seamless digital payments, moving the spotlight away from payments infrastructure itself.
The film highlights everyday experiences—from ordering late-night food to receiving a long-awaited delivery—and positions payments as the invisible layer enabling these moments. Told through a first-person perspective, the narrative follows users completing payments on their phones before transitioning into the moments that follow.
The ad is part of the next phase of Cashfree Payments’ ‘One of Your Kind’ campaign, which previously focused on businesses using the platform. This new film extends the narrative to the consumer experience created through those businesses.
Commenting on the campaign, Aditi Olemann, Vice President of Marketing & Communications, Cashfree Payments said, “There is an interesting paradox at the heart of payments. The better the infrastructure, the more invisible it becomes, and the less credit it gets for the joy it enables. We have spent years building infrastructure that businesses can rely on to deliver seamless experiences to their customers, infrastructure that nobody has to think about. This film is our way of recognising the businesses that bring joy to their customers one transaction at a time and in doing so, bring out the emotion behind every payment. This is why we deliberately chose moments that people will recognise not as transactions, but as some of the small, joyful things that make everyday life worth living."
The film has been created entirely using artificial intelligence (AI), which the company says informed both the visual treatment and storytelling approach. The ad is designed for connected TV, mobile and tablet viewing, particularly during IPL’s high-engagement dual-screen consumption environment.
The campaign will begin airing across platforms from May 22.
