Following media reports, Times TV Network has announced the appointment of Ashish Sehgal as CEO – Times Television Network and Chief Growth Officer – Media & Entertainment, effective December 1, 2025.
Sehgal will oversee the growth and strategic direction of the network’s news and entertainment channels, drive synergy across platforms, and identify new revenue and growth opportunities in his additional role as Chief Growth Officer.
"In his role as the CEO, Ashish will spearhead the growth and strategic direction of our Television channels (News and Entertainment), driving synergy across platforms and strengthening the network’s leadership position in the Media landscape. As the Chief Growth Officer – Media & Entertainment, Ashish will identify growth opportunities and new revenue streams, establish strategic partnerships, shape diversification and innovation agendas, and unlock value from both existing and emerging assets. The goal is to reinforce the Group’s future-ready growth plans and enhance the overall value of the Times Group," reads the announcement.
He succeeds Rohit Gopakumar, who led the network in the interim and will now continue to head the Digital, WWM, and Events businesses while focusing on new strategic initiatives.
Sehgal joins the network with over three decades of experience in the media and entertainment industry, having held senior roles at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., Star India, Buena Vista Television, and earlier with The Times Group.
