Flipkart Minutes, the quick commerce arm of Flipkart, marked Ganesh Chaturthi with a digital-first campaign and a set of services designed to integrate religious observance with convenience.
As part of the initiative, customers in Mumbai and Pune were able to receive prasad from Siddhivinayak Temple and Shrimant Dagdusheth Temple between 27 August and 6 September. The offering, priced at ₹1, was available on Flipkart Minutes orders above ₹799 in Mumbai and ₹399 in Pune. The company stated that the service aimed to allow users to participate in the tradition without navigating traffic or long queues.
The campaign included a short film developed in collaboration with FCB Kinnect. The video reinterprets the Ganesh Aarti using household sounds such as claps, utensil taps and table beats, avoiding the use of lyrics. The approach, according to the company, was intended to highlight the emotional impact of sound.
The campaign also introduced on-ground activations. ‘Get Charged in Minutes’ saw Flipkart set up rapid mobile charging stations in high-traffic locations during the festival. In addition, Flipkart distributed complimentary manjiras with select orders in Mumbai on the first day of the festival.
Speaking on the campaign, Kapil Thirani, Head of Flipkart Minutes, said, “Ganesh Chaturthi is an emotion, and through Flipkart Minutes, we wanted to create a festive bridge between devotion and convenience. The idea was to bring joy, not just through fast deliveries, but through meaningful experiences – such as prasad from a revered temple or a manjira that completes the Aarti at home.”
Nitin Mohan, Chief Growth Officer, FCB Kinnect, said, “Ganesh Chaturthi is not just a festival but a celebration of devotion, rhythm, and unity. By reimagining the iconic Ganesh Aarti using only sounds that echo in every Indian household, we not only honoured tradition but also made it accessible and relatable to today's digital-first generation.”
Flipkart Minutes said the initiative was aimed at strengthening its connection with users during the festival period while highlighting the service’s speed and availability.
