Instamart, in collaboration with Arthat Studio, has launched an anamorphic art installation at Inorbit Mall, Mumbai, to mark the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. The 3D installation, created entirely using over 400 puja items available on Instamart, is on display from 24 August to 4 September 2025.
The installation, standing 8 feet high and 10 feet deep, features traditional puja essentials such as diyas, flowers, modaks, coconuts, fruits and thalis. When viewed through a designated lens on a mobile phone, the components align to form an image of Lord Ganesha.
The project aims to promote the availability of festival-related items on Instamart and demonstrate how the platform facilitates preparation for religious events. Instamart has also expanded its festive assortment to include over 25 types of modaks, eco-friendly Ganesh idols, prasad from Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir and Shri Siddhivinayak Chandicha Ganpati Mandir, as well as various puja essentials.
Speaking about the initiative, Mayur Hola, VP - Brand Marketing, Instamart, said, “Ganesh Chaturthi is such a beautiful festival, the colours, the devotion, and the joy of seeing unique handcrafted idols come alive on the streets of Mumbai. It’s what makes this time of year so special. But while people love soaking that in, what they don’t love is running around for the little things. In today’s fast-paced world, festivals are when you want to pause, celebrate, and be with your loved ones. That’s really where Instamart steps in. Partnering with Arthat Studio gave us a chance to create something visually stunning, while also reminding people that Instamart is like their best bud during the festival — here to take care of all those small hassles, whether it’s fresh flowers or a last-minute forgotten puja essential.”
This installation forms part of Instamart’s wider festive season strategy. The platform has seen increased demand across festivals such as Holi, Janmashtami and Raksha Bandhan. For Janmashtami, there was a rise in orders for basuris, laddoo gopal idols and poshaks, with items like white makkhan and makhan mishri nearing sellout. Raksha Bandhan saw a peak of 1 lakh rakhis ordered per hour.
Instamart plans to continue expanding its offerings for upcoming festivals, including Navratri, Karwa Chauth, Dhanteras and Diwali. The assortment includes flowers, fasting items, thalis, gold and silver coins, sweets, décor and electronics.
The anamorphic installation by Arthat Studio combines religious symbols with visual storytelling. Visitors to the mall can view the installation and its transformation into the Ganpati idol by positioning themselves at a specific vantage point, illustrating how individual items contribute to the overall image.
