Kapil Arora has taken charge as Group CEO of Ogilvy Indonesia. He had been serving as Chief Operating Officer since January 2024 and will now lead the strategic direction and operations of Ogilvy’s Indonesian business.
The appointment follows Arora’s tenure as COO, during which he worked on the agency’s operations and market positioning in Indonesia. He has more than 25 years of experience in advertising and marketing communications and has spent a significant part of his career within the Ogilvy network.
Before joining Ogilvy Indonesia, Arora was Co-Chairman and CEO at 82.5 Communications from August 2019 to January 2024. Earlier, he served as President of Ogilvy Group Companies, North, from February 2013 to August 2019, overseeing the agency’s business across northern India.
Arora first joined Ogilvy in 2004 as President and Country Head of Team Vodafone, a role he held until January 2013. During this period, he led the dedicated client team for Vodafone in India.
As Group CEO, Arora will be responsible for business growth, creative output and client relationships at Ogilvy Indonesia. His move from COO to Group CEO comes within a year of taking on the Indonesian role.
