Kenstar has announced the second edition of its ‘No Phone Hour’ campaign, inviting people across India to put their phones aside for one hour and reconnect with family and friends.
The campaign, #NoPhoneHour 2.0, builds on last year’s participation of more than 1.5 lakh people, with Kenstar targeting three times the participation this year.
Scheduled for August 15 from 6pm to 7pm, the initiative encourages individuals, families and communities to spend an hour away from their phones and engage in activities such as conversations, cooking, games or simply spending uninterrupted time together.
Sunil Jain, CEO, Kenstar, said, “Joy is at the heart of everything we do at Kenstar. Our mission is not just to add joy through our products and services, but through every interaction we have with our consumers. With No Phone Hour, we are taking this belief beyond our products. We want to create moments that bring people closer, encourage conversations, and help families and friends reconnect. Last year, more than 1.5 lakh people chose to step away from their screens and spend an hour reconnecting with those around them. The response showed us that, in an increasingly connected world, people are also looking for meaningful opportunities to disconnect. With No Phone Hour 2.0, we want to take this movement further and bring together even more people this Independence Day. For us, this is more than just an initiative—it is our small contribution towards adding more joy, togetherness and genuine human connections to the lives of lakhs of Indians.”
The campaign positions digital disconnection as a form of personal freedom, encouraging consumers to make space for real-world interactions amid increasingly connected lifestyles.
Participants can take the campaign pledge and invite others to join. They can also share their experiences through stories, videos or audio messages on the campaign platform to encourage wider participation.
Kenstar invites individuals, families and communities to participate in #NoPhoneHour on 15 August 2026, from 6 PM to 7 PM. Participants can take the campaign pledge and encourage their friends and family to join them in spending an hour away from their phones. Through #NoPhoneHour 2.0, Kenstar aims to build on last year’s response and encourage consumers to make time for offline connections.
