The National Basketball Association and Budweiser India will bring back BUDX NBA House to India during the 2026 playoffs, with the event scheduled to take place on 9 and 10 May at Bharat Mandapam.
The event, which debuted in Mumbai last year, is an interactive fan experience combining basketball, music and culture. This year’s edition in Delhi will include on-court activities, live music performances, and fan engagement zones.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet two-time NBA champion Isiah Thomas and four-time NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins. The line-up includes a three-on-three celebrity game, workshops and panel discussions under the BUDX Masterclasses banner, and performances by the Sacramento Kings mascot and entertainment teams.
Last year’s Mumbai edition drew over 6,000 attendees, reflecting growing interest in basketball-led experiences in India. The NBA has hosted similar NBA House events across markets including the U.S., the UK, China and Brazil, and is set to debut the format in Australia later this year.
“Hosting BUDX NBA House in New Delhi for the first time marks an exciting next step in our continued efforts to engage fans across India in new and creative ways,” said NBA India Country Head Rajah Chaudhry. “The response in Mumbai last year showcased the incredible passion for basketball in the country, and experiences like this are our way of celebrating that community in a meaningful way. We look forward to returning with an expanded edition where fans can come together to celebrate the excitement of the NBA Playoffs, meet legends of the game, and experience the music and fashion that define NBA culture in India.”
“After witnessing the phenomenal response to the first-ever BUDX NBA House in Mumbai, we’re excited to bring an elevated and more immersive edition to fans in New Delhi,” said Vineet Sharma, Vice President, Marketing & Trade Marketing, AB InBev India. “As India’s No.1 premium beer brand, we have always been at the forefront of culture, shaping conversations across music, sport, and entertainment for young audiences. Together with the NBA, this year’s showcase builds further on that momentum by offering fans an expanded cultural experience – one that blends the thrill of basketball with the music, culture and creative energy that defines today’s generation. As part of our ‘In the Hands of Fans’ narrative, we are deepening our commitment to building fan-first ecosystems that strengthen the connection between people and the sports they love. At its core, the belief is simple: sport belongs to its fans. Through platforms like BUDX NBA House, we’re translating that belief into a scalable strategy – one that puts fans at the center of the energy, creativity and culture surrounding the game.”
The event will be produced and ticketed by District by Zomato, with additional details on programming and partners expected in the coming weeks.
