This World Heart Day, PharmEasy is putting a beat behind CPR awareness.
The healthcare platform has launched a week-long social media campaign with Dr Jivitesh Satija, DM Cardiology and Interventional Cardiologist, using music and a cardiologist-led tutorial to make the basics of CPR easier to understand and remember.
Moving away from conventional medical explainers, the campaign sees Dr Satija demonstrate CPR using a pillow, turning each step into an easy-to-follow song. From checking whether a person is responsive and calling for help to performing chest compressions, the tutorial breaks the process down into three simple actions: pump, release, repeat.
Built around the thought, “Don’t miss a beat. CPR is a simple 3-step routine: pump, release, repeat,” the campaign aims to make CPR more accessible to younger digital audiences.
The reel ends with a reminder that knowing the basics of CPR can help people respond during a cardiac emergency.
Commenting on the campaign, Gaurav Verma, Chief Business Officer, PharmEasy, said, “In a cardiac emergency, knowing what to do can make a critical difference, yet CPR is something many people may never have learned or feel confident performing. With this campaign, we wanted to make CPR easier to understand, more relatable and, most importantly, easier to remember when it matters. By combining expert guidance from a cardiologist with music and a format familiar to younger audiences, we hope to take CPR beyond awareness and encourage more people to learn this essential skill and feel ready to act in an emergency.”
Through the campaign, PharmEasy is using World Heart Day to underline that heart health is not only about prevention, but also about being prepared to respond when an emergency strikes.
