Marking Independence Day, SBI General Insurance has unveiled #TributeToIndia, a sonic campaign celebrating the nation’s remarkable journey from 1947 to the present.
The initiative presents a reimagined version of the national anthem, composed in collaboration with music director Sneha Khanwalkar. This rendition integrates distinctive sounds from India’s post-independence era to its digital age, reflecting the nation’s progress and transformation.
The soundscape features a rich blend of auditory milestones, from the whistle of steam engines, chirping of native birds, and clatter of industrial tools, to the rhythmic tap of typewriters, beeps of early keypad phones, chimes of vintage video games, and the alerts of UPI transactions. Each element symbolises a chapter in India’s growth story.
Visually, the film combines archival footage with contemporary imagery, culminating in a crescendo that embodies a resilient and forward-moving India.
The #TributeToIndia campaign will be available across digital platforms, offering citizens a fresh way to experience the national anthem.
Speaking on the campaign, Rathin Lahiri, Head Marketing and CSR at SBI General Insurance, said, “India’s success story is unique and best told through its people and their progress. We have captured the unique sounds that have been a part of our lives: the sound of the radio, school bell, typewriter, phone, trains, mobile, taxi meter, UPI and more to create a unique rendition of the National Anthem. As a brand that stands for protection and trust (Suraksha aur Bharosa) #TributeToIndia is our salute to our country, and our fellow Indians.”
