Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited’s ‘Heart ke Liye 8 – Making India Heart Strong’ campaign has crossed 24.1 million views since its launch on 26 February, 2026, reflecting growing public engagement around preventive heart health.
The campaign has garnered 14.3 million views on YouTube and 9.8 million views across Meta platforms. Launched to encourage people to adopt simple lifestyle habits for better cardiovascular health, the campaign comes at a time when heart disease continues to be among the leading causes of mortality in India. At the centre of the initiative is the 'Heart-strong Man', a character designed to represent the importance of awareness, balance and consistent self-care in maintaining heart health.
The campaign is built around eight key pillars of heart health: eating better, staying physically active, managing weight, monitoring blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol, avoiding tobacco, undergoing regular heart check-ups, managing stress and getting quality sleep.
‘Heart ke Liye 8’ is part of the broader ‘Making India Heart Strong’ initiative, through which Sun Pharma has been running several awareness and prevention programmes across the country.
These include more than 10,000 heart screening camps annually, reaching over 1.2 lakh individuals, CPR training programmes for more than 1.5 lakh people each year, and patient education initiatives that reach over 15 million people annually through awareness campaigns and in-clinic engagement.
As the campaign expands across digital platforms, Sun Pharma is continuing to focus on prevention-led messaging, with the initiative centred on the idea that heart health is built through small, consistent choices every day.
