Vipin Kapooria has resigned from his role as Chief Financial Officer of Blinkit, around a year after assuming charge, according to media reports. Kapooria is expected to rejoin Flipkart, where he has previously held leadership roles.
Kapooria joined Blinkit between September and October 2024, becoming the company’s first full-time CFO since Amit Sachdeva’s exit in 2022. His departure comes roughly a year into the role. The move marks Kapooria’s third stint at Flipkart. He earlier worked at the e-commerce company from 2015 to 2018, and again from August 2020 until October 2024.
Over the course of his career, Kapooria has also held finance leadership roles at OYO, Yum! Restaurants, and Birlasoft, bringing experience across consumer internet, hospitality and technology-driven businesses.
Neither Blinkit nor Kapooria have issued an official statement on the development at the time of writing.
