Flipkart is turning one of Piyush Mishra’s biggest regrets into a reminder for shoppers not to miss its iPhone deals during Big Billion Days (BBD).
Conceptualised by McCann India, the mockumentary-style campaign centres on Mishra’s regret over saying no to Maine Pyar Kiya, using the actor’s ‘what could have been’ moment to build a larger story around missed opportunities.
The film places Mishra inside the world of the iconic film, surrounded by familiar music and visual cues. He sees himself as the film’s hero in every scene, still dwelling on the decision he made and unable to let go of what might have been.
The campaign then turns that regret into a more immediate warning: missing the opportunity to buy an iPhone during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days could become another missed opportunity. The idea is built around the insight that major opportunities do not come around often, while the regret of passing them up can linger.
“Brands are at their best when they play in culture. And with Flipkart, that’s what we try to do always. So when we wanted to announce that the prices that you’ll get for iPhone at BBD are the best they will be, we tapped into a little known trivia from culture. And then just had a lot of fun writing and bringing it to life,” said Rahul Mathew, Chief Creative Officer, McCann India.
The campaign is currently live across digital and social media and will run through the Big Billion Days sale period, which begins on October 9, 2026.
