Medanta – The Medicity and Fabindia Ltd. have announced a collaboration to promote awareness around women’s health, beginning with breast cancer, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
The initiative was launched through a special event titled “The Way She Thinks” at the Fabindia Experience Centre, where Dr Kanchan Kaur, Senior Director of Breast Cancer at Medanta Gurugram, spoke about the importance of early detection and awareness.
As part of the collaboration, visitors to the Fabindia Experience Centre in Vasant Kunj this week will receive an awareness card carrying a QR code that links to a doctor-led educational video on breast cancer. The programme will also extend beyond customers to reach grassroots artisan communities associated with Fabindia, aiming to address knowledge gaps and promote better health awareness.
Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers globally, accounting for roughly one in four cancer cases among women, with India among the countries significantly affected.
The partnership also plans to introduce awareness activations across Fabindia stores in Delhi NCR, Lucknow and Patna. One of the key elements will be a dedicated “Pink Room”, a specially designed trial room featuring simple breast cancer awareness messages intended to encourage women to remain mindful of their health during everyday routines.
Through the collaboration, Medanta and Fabindia aim to foster broader conversations around preventive healthcare and women’s wellbeing, while promoting early detection and informed health choices.
