Leo Burnett to host it in Delhi for the very first time on May 22; JWT is Mumbai host

It’s again time for Portfolio Night this year, and young creatives to get busy presenting their works. Being hosted in Delhi for the very first time by Leo Burnett, it is going to be an evening where young, enthusiastic copy-writers and art directors get to meet and share their portfolios with some of the most senior and experienced creative people from Indian advertising.

Globally, Portfolio Night brings together thousands of young creatives, hundreds of creative directors and dozens of host agencies in several cities around the world.

Talking about hosting PN in Delhi, KV Sridhar, Chief Creative Officer, Leo Burnett India and Subcontinent said, “Delhi’s client list is very enviable, compared to a lot of other cities, considering work on some of the largest and most visible brands is done from here. It is a veritable gold mine of talent with so many young creative people looking to make a name for themselves here. With the Portfolio Night in Delhi, we want to give these young creative people a chance to interact with several senior creative people and industry legends, and get direct feedback on their portfolios.” Some of Indian advertising’s greatest names are expected to share the wealth of their experience at Leo Burnett’s Portfolio Night.

PORTFOLIO NIGHT ALL-STARS
This year marks the launch of Portfolio Night All-Stars, where the programme will select one young creative from each Portfolio Night event across the globe and bring them to New York for the Portfolio Night All-Stars competition in August 2013. The chosen person from each location will be named the ‘All-Star’.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the new venture,” said Brendan Watson, Director of Education for Art Directors Club (ADC) and one of the creators of Portfolio Night. “For over a decade now, Portfolio Night has impacted the careers of young creatives all over the world, but this initiative will really amplify that.”

The All-Stars competition will kick-off on August 5 with an opening ceremony at the Art Directors Club. The All-Stars will be joined by members of the Press, sponsors including Adobe and members of the ADC community.

After the presentation of the creative brief, the All-Stars will have the remainder of the week to work on the assignment and prepare for the corresponding creative presentation. Morning progress checks will be paired with mentor sessions headed up by prominent members of the ADC creative community.

The All-Stars will present their creative concepts in a polished digital presentation to a panel of representatives from the lead sponsor and the Art Directors Club Portfolio Night Global Team. Each presentation will be limited to 10 minutes, followed by a five-minute Q&A. Upon completion; the panel will be sequestered to deliberate the creative presentations and ultimately decide the winner. Founded in 1920, the Art Directors Club is an organization for leaders in visual communication, boasting one of the most concentrated groups of creative talent in the world. A not-for-profit membership organization, the ADC’s mission is to connect creative professionals around the globe, while simultaneously provoking and elevating world-changing ideas.
